Bachy Soletanche Limited, a world leading geotechnical contractor, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to develop and deliver robust designs from concept through to practical completion. You will work closely with estimating and operations, attend client meetings and drive design efficiency, buildability, and best practice across projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver designs from concept to practical completion.
• Experience working with estimating and operational teams.
• Strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to design improvements and benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver competitive designs (wholistic rather than just pile element).
• Ensure design efficiency and buildability; take accountability for practical designs.
• Provide technical and design support to all BSL departments and estimators/operations.
• Attend external meetings with Clients and manage expectations.
• Embrace KPI targets set by Engineering Manager and drive improvement.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Engineering process within the department.
• Train Design and Engineering colleagues and broader organisation members.
• Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices and trends.
• Engage with estimating and operational teams for continuous improvement.
