Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is hiring a Lead Gas Engineer to provide technical leadership across gas servicing in Leicester, Coventry and neighbouring areas. You will mentor peers, resolve complex repairs, and support appointments with a flexible approach, driving safe and efficient service.

You will bring ACS gas qualifications and a strong diagnostic background, with a DBS check and a valid UK driving licence, as this is a mobile role within customers' homes.

Qualifications

• Appropriate ACS gas qualifications (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1, CPA1).
• NVQ Level in 2 Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation (or equivalent) is essential.
• Unvented hot water qualification.
• High level of competency in diagnosing and carrying out complex heating repairs.
• Basic electrical understanding of complex heating systems.
• LPG and Oil qualifications, or willingness to achieve these during probation.

Responsibilities

• Lead gas servicing operations and provide technical leadership across Leicester, Coventry and surrounding areas.
• Resolve complex repairs and gain access to hard-to-reach properties.
• Mentor colleagues and support appointments with a flexible approach.
• Deliver safe, compliant services with a customer-focused mindset.
• Demonstrate strong communication and decision-making in complex cases.
