Job summary

Cadent Gas is seeking a Lead Gas Engineer to join our Emergency Response team. You’ll be the first on scene for gas escapes and CO alarms, delivering calm, professional support to customers and coordination with emergency services.

Covering Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire, this varied role includes meter work, safety inspections and network operations while leading by example and upholding the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

• CCN1 or CMA1 qualification (essential)
• MET1 qualification (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas escapes and CO alarms with safety and reassurance.
• Be the face of Cadent on scene and provide professional customer service.
• Support vulnerable customers and coordinate with emergency services.
• Lead by example across emergency response, metering and safety inspections.
