Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Infrastructure Platforms team in the United Kingdom.

You will be a core technical contributor, delivering trusted, scalable technology products with a focus on secure, maintainable code. You will drive design, development, and automation across the SDLC, leveraging AI-assisted development practices, containerized architectures, and AWS services to support critical business functions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Django, Java)
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods with hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Working knowledge of SDLC toolchains and applying enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud, AI, ML, or related technical disciplines
• Proven ability to drive AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized distributed applications (orchestration) and infrastructure on AWS using IaC (e.g., Terraform)

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability
