Job summary

Canada Life UK is seeking an exceptional Lead Engineer to join our digital leadership team, focusing on UI/UX, accessibility and front-end performance. You will work across the product lifecycle, shaping user facing experiences and setting technical direction.

You will design and build front-end components, advocate WCAG 2.2 AA, drive CI/CD automation in Azure, mentor peers, and partner with designers, product owners and stakeholders to deliver accessible, high-performing software for customers.

Qualifications

Expert in modern front-end applications with UX craft.
Design with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.
Focus on Core Web Vitals and performance.
Lead engineers to set technical direction and standards.
Experience with Azure hosted solutions and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Join Digital’s technical leadership team, bring UI/UX expertise and mentor engineers.
Lead development lifecycle from coding to production, deliver accessible, performant UI.
Partner with designers, product owners and stakeholders to meet accessibility and usability goals.
Validate ideas with user research and experimentation, focusing on customer outcomes.
Improve DevOps, reduce technical debt and automate deployments.
