Job summary

Caribou Financial in the United Kingdom is seeking a full stack engineer with a strong frontend craft. You will shape how the product looks and feels, working closely with the CTO and tax team to translate complex concepts into clear interfaces.

You'll own end-to-end features from frontend to backend, contribute to a scalable design system, and build data-dense views such as entity graphs and compliance status. A focus on user experience and fast iteration is key.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production web applications, with frontend focus.
• Demonstrable UI craft with attention to spacing, hierarchy, motion, and empty states.
• Experience presenting complex or data-heavy information clearly: dashboards, graphs, tables, workflows, editors.
• Comfortable across the stack, able to write API and migrations behind features.
• Strong SQL (Postgres): ORMs, queries, migrations, and performance awareness.
• Excellent communication: translate CFO/tax needs into a spec.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex tax concepts into interfaces that are obvious at a glance.
• Work with tax team to shape requirements and own features end to end, frontend through backend.
• Own and evolve design system and component library for consistent quality.
• Build data-dense views: entity graphs, intercompany flows, compliance status, documentation.
• Maintain customer experience, raise issues, deploy fixes.
• Ship quickly and set the bar for what 'shipped' means here.
