Job summary

Elekta in Crawley is seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to provide technical leadership for FPGA-based hardware and PCBA designs within our medical linear accelerators. You will own digital hardware development across the lifecycle, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-reliability systems.

The role requires HDL experience, analogue/digital PCB design, and a focus on signal and power integrity, EMC, safety and manufacturability. On-site with flexible WFH day.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA design using VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Analogue and digital PCBA design experience.
• Knowledge of EMC, safety and reliability in high‑reliability products.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based electronics and PCBA design for medical linear accelerators.
• Own signal and power integrity across high-speed designs.
• Plan and carry out FPGA and board-level verification.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
