Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Market Drayton is seeking a Team Leader – Formulation to guide the formulation team and production area to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People targets. You will provide day-to-day leadership and drive improvements while ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.

You will work closely with the Shift Manager to resolve issues, drive continuous improvement and achieve operational targets.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading an operational team within the food industry and delivering results through others.
• Health & Safety / Food Safety & Quality knowledge.
• Flexibility, positivity and resilience.
• A practical approach to problem solving.
• Good communication skills, English and maths.

Responsibilities

• Able to effectively train, coach and mentor team members. Ensures training matrices are up to date and all required training completed.
• Knows how to motivate and retain each member of the team. Keeps team informed and leads huddles in manager's absence.
• Effectively manages time off requests balancing employee requests and business needs.
• Instigates investigations when required. Conducts fair and balanced investigations and keeps reports factual.
• Regularly reviews own performance in ensuring Ethical trading principles are embedded.
