Job summary

b3 jobs ltd in Essex is seeking a Production Manager to lead production operations and deliver improvements in productivity, labour efficiency, quality and standards. You will manage one direct Shift Manager and up to 40 indirect operatives.

Key tasks include improving line performance, monitoring KPIs (efficiency, waste, downtime, quality and labour utilisation), reducing labour costs through better processes, and ensuring HACCP, BRC, quality and health & safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Production Manager or operations leadership role in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety requirements.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office; able to drive change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations and deliver improvements in productivity and standards.
• Manage one direct Shift Manager and up to 40 indirect operatives.
• Improve line performance and OEE; monitor KPIs and labour utilisation.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and Warehouse teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, BRC and health & safety standards.
