Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior or Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to own technical work on a portfolio of UK projects. Based in multiple locations, you will deliver flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and sustainable water management solutions for development and infrastructure projects.

You will lead technical discussions with clients and authorities, review reports, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

Experience in flood risk assessment and drainage for planning/environment projects.
Strong knowledge of UK flood risk management policy and planning guidance.
Excellent report writing and communication skills with client/stakeholder engagement.
Experience leading technical workstreams and mentoring junior staff.
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to project sites/meetings.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and related documentation.
Interpret hydraulic modelling outputs and other flood risk data.
Engage with clients, planning authorities and regulators; support consultations.
Manage project budgets, timelines and quality assurance across workstreams.
Contribute to business development, fee proposals and client relationships.
