Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior or Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to lead and contribute to a varied portfolio across the UK. You will provide technically robust advice for planning, development consent processes and infrastructure projects while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in flood risk assessment, drainage, sustainable water management.
• Strong working knowledge of UK flood risk management policy and planning guidance.
• Experience coordinating inputs from multidisciplinary teams and supervising junior staff.
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills for client liaison.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to projects involving flood risk assessments and drainage strategies.
• Prepare, review and oversee Flood Risk Assessments and drainage studies.
• Engage with clients, planning authorities, regulators and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support business development and tender submissions.
• Support fee proposals and ensure outputs are accurate and proportionate.
