Job summary

Zenon Aviation is recruiting for a CAMO Safety Manager to support an air ambulance operator in London. The role ensures ongoing safe, legal operation of the fleet in line with AOC and CAMO requirements. You will oversee risk management, safety reporting, investigations, and SMS governance.

The successful candidate will act as the company contact for Centrik safety software, provide regulatory guidance, and drive continuous safety improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised course in Compliance / Quality Management for Airline Operators.
• Demonstrate aircraft maintenance experience to satisfy Form 4 as Part-CAMO Safety Manager.
• Minimum 5 years operational/aviation experience with CAMO knowledge.
• Have held Form 4 post or knowledge of aviation safety management.
• Experience with SMS environment and current SMS theories.
• Current Human Factors or CRM training.
• Just Culture knowledge.
• Knowledge of CAA Air Operations, UK ANO, Part-CAMO, CAMO.A.200 and ORO.GEN.200.
• Knowledge of maintenance methods.
• Training in Safety Investigation techniques
• Auditing experience in commercial aviation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate risk management: hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation.
• Manage and triage safety reports.
• Ensure initiation and follow up of internal and external reporting.
• Lead investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure follow up on incidents on ground or in air.
• Review the Safety Management System for effectiveness.
• Act as secretary to the Safety Review Board and maintain the Safety Management Manual.
• Advise senior management on safety and compliance.
• Coordinate audits and responses to findings.
