Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited is seeking a Lead Fire Risk Assessor to join its growing Fire Safety team in the UK. The role combines hands-on life safety assessments with leadership, mentoring, and developing junior assessors across a diverse portfolio.

You will ensure high-quality, compliant risk assessments, provide technical guidance, and build strong client relationships while upholding professional standards and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments.
• Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation and guidance.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively.
• Experience assessing a variety of building types and occupancies.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct life safety fire risk assessments across diverse premises.
• Lead on complex, high-risk projects and provide technical oversight.
• Produce clear, compliant fire risk assessment reports.
• Review and quality assure assessors' work.
• Mentor and develop Fire Risk Assessors within the team.
• Support audits and competency reviews.
• Provide professional fire safety guidance and client liaison.
