Baily Garner LLP in Eltham is seeking a Fire Engineer to lead the delivery of fire engineering commissions across a range of projects. You will prepare and review fire strategy reports, develop evidence-based safety solutions and provide expert technical advice from feasibility through occupation.

The role requires a degree in Fire Engineering and consultancy experience, with responsibilities including mentoring junior engineers, managing budgets and supporting business development.

Qualificações

• Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering or related discipline.
• Fire engineering consultancy experience across new-build, refurbishment and existing-building projects.
• Experience developing fire strategies across RIBA Stages 1–6.
• Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, standards and the Building Safety Act.
• Experience with Higher-Risk Buildings and fire safety assessments.
• Strong understanding of fire behaviour, evacuation and protection systems.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to lead workstreams and manage budgets & client relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Lead delivery of fire engineering commissions across varied buildings from feasibility to occupation.
• Prepare, review and oversee fire strategy reports and related documentation.
• Develop practical, evidence-based fire safety solutions using UK standards.
• Provide technical advice on evacuation, fire protection and compliance.
• Support Higher-Risk Buildings projects including Gateway submissions and safety case work.
• Represent fire engineering in meetings with clients, Building Control and fire services.
• Collaborate with design teams to deliver coordinated, compliant outcomes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development.
• Manage scope, programme, fees and client relationships on projects.
