Lead Field Service Engineer – Water & Wastewater

Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting for Field Service Engineer roles in Leeds and surrounding areas within the Water sector. The role leads a large team on complex projects, delivering on-site and in-house solutions while upholding core values and safety standards.

You will work with Project Managers to cost packages, manage daily workloads, and ensure projects are completed on time and to budget, acting as a bridge between the workforce and senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in Utilities industry, water sector preferred.
• Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Self-motivated with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Promoting health and safety across operations.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in on-site and in-house solution development.
• Deliver safe and efficient solutions to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Delegate daily workloads of teams on site and in HUBs.
• Communicate with senior management about goals and needs.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to assist in job package costings.
• Use ICT to maintain digital contract and project files.
• Lead toolbox talks and promote safety across teams.
• Ensure high standards of work daily within operations.
• Plan team selections to match project requirements.
• Provide on-site escalation point for outcomes and decisions.
