Job summary

UVeye is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installations across the UK and Europe. You will manage third-party contractors, troubleshoot and maintain UVeye systems, and serve as the primary technical contact for customers during deployments.

You will work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment, collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful installations and high-quality service experiences. Travel is extensive and essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of field service installation, deployment or maintenance experience.
• Experience leading contractors or teams during technical installations.
• Hands-on skills across civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to document installation, service, and maintenance clearly.
• Experience using CAD software to interpret site layouts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for on-site leadership.
• Strong safety mindset and willingness to travel.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Own on-site execution of new UVeye system installations from site readiness through testing and handoff.
• Lead FSE on installations, coordinate third-party contractors, ensure safety, accuracy and schedule.
• Serve as UVeye's primary on-site technical contact, manage customer relationships and expectations.
• Assess site readiness, review layouts and requirements, identify conditions impacting deployment.
• Install, configure, test, and validate UVeye hardware and supporting systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, electrical and mechanical issues, escalate as needed.
• Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance at customer sites.
• Maintain safety on site and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Support, Engineering, and Customer Success to resolve field issues and deployments.
• Document installation, commissioning, maintenance and findings clearly and timely.
• Provide feedback to improve installation processes, system reliability, and customer experience.
