Job summary

UVeye seeks a Field Service Engineer to join the UK Operations Team, supporting customer sites across the UK and Europe. You will lead on-site installations, direct third-party contractors as Lead FSE, troubleshoot and maintain UVeye systems, and be the primary technical contact for customers in the field.

This hands-on role requires strong technical judgement, a customer service mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Field Service Engineer or similar role with hardware/software installation
• Experience leading contractors during technical installations
• Strong hands-on skills across civil works, networking, electrical, and mechanical assemblies
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking

Responsibilities

• Own on-site execution of new UVeye system installations from site readiness through testing, commissioning and handoff
• Lead FSE on installations, coordinate third-party contractors and ensure safe, on-schedule delivery
• Serve as primary on-site technical contact with customers, manage progress and expectations
• Assess site readiness and review layouts to identify infrastructure issues
• Install, configure, test and validate UVeye hardware and supporting systems
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, electrical and mechanical issues in real time
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across sites
• Maintain safety on site and escalate hazards as needed
• Collaborate with Operations, Support, Engineering and Customer Success to resolve field issues
• Document installation, commissioning and service activities clearly
• Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to improve processes
