Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd is recruiting a Field-Based Lead AV Engineer to join an expanding installation and service team. The role is field-based with duties across commercial, corporate, education and public-sector environments, and requires strong hands-on experience and ownership of projects.

Ideal candidates will read and interpret technical drawings, handle installation, commissioning and diagnostics, and hold a full UK driving licence. A competitive package with ongoing training is on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience as an AV Engineer or AV Technician in a field-based role with strong understanding of AV signal flow, hardware, control systems and VC technologies.
• Competence with installation and cabling (Cat5/6), reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation plans.
• Professional communication and ability to work independently on client sites; Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems and video conferencing platforms.
• Conduct on-site service visits, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Complete structured cabling, terminations and equipment mounting to professional standards.
• Support project managers with system testing, documentation and client handover.
• Provide clear, customer-focused technical support during installation and service visits.
• Ensure all work meets health & safety requirements and manufacturer specifications.
