Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd. is recruiting a confident Field-Based Lead AV Engineer to join the expanding installation and service team. You will own projects, support juniors, and deliver high-quality AV solutions across commercial, education, and public-sector environments.

The role involves on-site installations, diagnostics, and maintenance, with opportunities for career progression into senior engineering or project roles. A driving licence and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Experience as an AV Engineer or AV Technician in a field-based role.
Strong understanding of AV signal flow, hardware, control systems and VC technologies.
Competence with installation, cabling (Cat5/6), troubleshooting and commissioning.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans.
Professional communication and ability to work independently on client sites; Full UK driving licence.
Industry certifications beneficial.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and commission AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems and video conferencing platforms.
Conduct on-site service visits, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Complete structured cabling, terminations and equipment mounting to professional standards.
Support project managers with system testing, documentation and client handover.
Provide clear, customer-focused technical support during installation and service visits.
Ensure all work meets health & safety requirements and manufacturer specifications.
