Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is establishing a new Education & SEND Family Help team and is recruiting Family Practitioners on a fixed-term basis until March 2029. The role involves direct work with children, young people and families, delivering practical interventions and coordinating plans with education, health and community partners to support inclusion in education.

We are seeking experienced, compassionate practitioners with Level 3 (or higher) child and family qualifications, capable of

Qualifications

• Experience of effective direct work with children, young people and families.
• Strong understanding of family dynamics and child development.
• Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions and work with multi‑agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Undertake direct work with children, young people and families to understand strengths, needs and barriers, delivering practical, evidence-based individual and group interventions that enable and sustain change.
• Coordinate plans with multi‑agency partners to keep children included, engaged and supported in education.
• Take Lead Practitioner role where appropriate to support families and schools.
• Work collaboratively across Warwickshire with Education, Health and community partners.
