Job summary

Aston Martin Formula One Team is seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer with a strong background in aerodynamic surfacing to lead the delivery of high-quality geometry for CFD, wind tunnel testing and race car development at Silverstone.

You will own geometry quality, legality and delivery timing, mentor designers and drive continuous improvement of surfacing tools and workflows to meet demanding deadlines and FIA regulations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Formula 1 aerodynamic surfacing delivering complex geometry for wind tunnel/CFD.
• Expert CAD skills and advanced surface modelling including parametric design.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamic development processes and interfaces with CFD/wind tunnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of complex aerodynamic surfacing projects from concept to release.
• Own geometry quality, legality and delivery timing meeting programme deadlines.
• Develop and optimise CAD surfacing techniques and workflows with Aerodynamicists.
