Job summary

Motorsport Network, LLC is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Aerodynamic Surfacing to lead end‑to‑end aerodynamic geometry work for CFD, wind tunnel and race car development. You will own major surfacing projects, ensure geometry quality and legality, and drive workflows and tool improvements.

The role combines technical excellence with mentorship and strategic thinking to push aerodynamic performance in our motorsport programs, reporting to senior stakeholders and shaping best‑in‑class CAD

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aero Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in aerodynamic surfacing design within Motorsport.
• Expert knowledge of CATIA and advanced surface modelling techniques.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics testing, wind tunnel workflows and CFD interfaces.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
• Confidence working with FIA technical regulations and legality processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills.
• Proactive, inclusive and solution‑focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design, planning and delivery of aerodynamic geometry into CFD, wind tunnel testing and race car programmes.
• Own large‑scale aerodynamic design projects from concept through to release and manufacture.
• Ensure timing, quality and legality of geometry for wind tunnel and aerodynamic releases.
• Drive efficient workflows, tool development and long‑term process improvements.
• Develop and enhance parametric and surfacing methodologies in collaboration with aerodynamicists.
• Support FIA legality checking and maintain regulation box CAD models.
• Provide clear progress reporting and early risk identification to senior stakeholders.
• Champion best‑in‑class standards in CAD, surfacing quality, culture and collaboration.
• Support mentoring a team of aerodynamic designers.
