Job summary

Journey Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join a busy hospitality venue just outside Bracknell. You will lead the evening service, support the Head Chef in kitchen operations and coordinate banquets from the main kitchen while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest experience.

The role runs 2pm–11pm with a £40,000 salary plus tips. You’ll be a calm, confident leader focused on development of the kitchen team and delivering consistently high standards in a lively

Qualifications

• Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step.
• Passionate about delivering high standards consistently.
• Calm, confident and organised leader under pressure.
• Experienced in running a busy à la carte pass.
• Confident managing multiple services and priorities.
• Experience in large plated functions, preferably with Rational ovens.
• Experience in kitchen management and team leadership.
• Able to train and inspire kitchen teams.
• Confident running tastings and communicating with clients.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification and allergen knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef with culinary and administrative management of the kitchen.
• Lead evening service from 14:00–23:00.
• Run the pass during busy services ensuring quality and pace.
• Coordinate smaller banquets from main kitchen during service.
• Raise standards across the evening food operation and seek improvements.
• Lead, motivate and develop kitchen and restaurant teams.
• Support menu tastings and liaise with clients and wedding couples.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, allergens and organisation.
