Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Lead Employee Relations Specialist to influence people practices and outcomes within a regulated environment. You will balance hands-on ER casework with coaching managers and driving improvements across the People Services function.

The role requires senior ER experience, strong employment law knowledge, and the ability to guide stakeholders while delivering practical, commercially aware solutions. This is an on-site position with an emphasis on collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior HR advisory or ER role within a complex organisation.
• Strong and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven experience managing complex investigations and sensitive people matters.
• Excellent coaching, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
• Experience working in regulated environments would be advantageous.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing complex ER cases including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, capability and other high-risk employee matters.
• Providing expert employment law advice and ensuring legally compliant, defensible outcomes.
• Coaching and challenging managers to improve confidence and capability in handling people issues.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex ER matters and supporting wider ER colleagues.
• Identifying trends, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement through ER data and case insights.
• Supporting and developing colleagues within the People Services team while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
