Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead environmental design delivery on mass transit and mobility projects, ensuring outcomes are on time, within budget and to client specifications.

The role requires managing environmental assessments, sustainability reporting, CDM compliance, and supervising others while driving innovation and value for money. You will contribute to technical development, collaborate across offices, and represent SYSTRA in the Technical Directorate.

Qualifications

Experience of contract conditions, processes and procedures.
Ability in budgeting, scheduling and delivery.
Knowledgeable on CDM regulations and safety standards.
Experience of line management.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability guidance.
Degree qualified in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or related discipline; Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

Production and approval of environmental assessment and sustainability documents.
Establishment of internal standards to improve quality and efficiency.
Work at any position within a project team to meet objectives.
Supervise others; sign off design certificates.
Prepare technical reports and tender documents.
Implement innovative design solutions meeting project requirements.
Oversee production of engineering designs and calculations.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation (CDM).
Represent the Technical Directorate and Production Centres within SYSTRA.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, respect, and empowerment.
