To support this work, we are now looking for a Lead Engineering Technician to join us at the Science Museum on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the role

You will proactively identify and implement improvements in electromechanical systems, organize or carry out repairs, act as the department representative in gallery project meetings, and assist in designing technical drawings and identifying exhibit improvements.

About you

Your pragmatic and knowledgeable approach to engineering problems will help you identify solutions affecting the maintainability of future galleries. Your solid grounding in Health & Safety will ensure safe systems of work. Experience with workshop tools and machinery, including lathes and milling machines, will be beneficial. As a team member, you will support project progress and provide reactive assistance to gallery staff when needed.
