Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for an established engineering business specialising in bespoke equipment for the food processing sector. The role involves managing projects from order through installation, commissioning and handover, requiring a strong technical background and hands-on leadership.

Based primarily in the office, the role includes regular customer site visits with UK travel and occasional overseas trips.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering projects from order to handover.
• Strong technical background in process engineering or manufacturing.
• Food processing industry experience advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proactive, can-do attitude.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope with customers and the sales team.
• Manage project schedules and Gantt charts.
• Produce documentation including scope of supply, timing plans, P&IDs, BOMs and preliminary layout drawings.
• Source and specify purchased components and equipment.
• Coordinate delivery, installation and commissioning, and FAT/PDI activities.
• Maintain RAMS documentation and support SAT.
