A leading global food ingredients manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead major capital investment projects across its Ossett site and wider UK group. This is a senior, hands‑on project leadership role with responsibility for delivering multiple engineering projects from initial concept through to commissioning, qualification and operational handover. Projects will typically range from £100k to £5m+, covering manufacturing, process, packaging and distribution improvements.
As Engineering Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the capital project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required operational, quality and food‑safety standards. You will work closely with site leadership, operations, quality, engineering, health and safety teams, alongside external contractors, suppliers and OEMs.
You will be an experienced Engineering Project Manager with a strong manufacturing or process engineering background. You will be comfortable managing substantial capital projects and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business.
You will need:
Experience Food manufacturing, bakery, ingredients, coatings, seasonings or dry‑blending environments. PRINCE2, PMP or another recognised project management qualification. Automation, electrical control systems or process‑control exposure. ATEX/DSEAR environments. MRP or ERP systems. BRCGS or similarly regulated manufacturing standards.
