Biffa invites applications for a Lead Engineer at our Edmonton MRF. You will lead a shift team of multi-skilled technicians, drive plant performance and reduce downtime through proactive maintenance and effective problem solving.

You will prioritise planned and reactive maintenance, carry out fault finding, and support RCA investigations to implement long-term improvements. London weighting is included in the salary package.

Qualifications

• HNC qualification in Mechanical or Plant Engineering.
• Experience supervising engineering teams in industrial settings.
• Strong fault finding and problem solving abilities.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and welding.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise a shift team of engineers and contractors to maximise plant performance and uptime.
• Prioritise planned and reactive maintenance activities to support operations.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across plant and machinery.
• Deliver preventative maintenance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support RCA investigations and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Ensure safe working practices and effective shift handovers.
