Qualifications

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Mechanical Bias or Multi-skilled) – NVQ/BTEC equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills necessary.
• Proven leadership and team management experience required.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to maximise plant availability and performance.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across the factory.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve OEE and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Manage contractors and permit-to-work processes.

Are you a time‑served engineer with a passion for leadership and continuous improvement? Join a leading manufacturer of authentic global foods, supplying hospitality, retail, food service, and wholesale sectors.

We’re looking for a Lead Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to take charge of two shift engineers, drive CapEx projects, and deliver hands‑on support for PPM and OEE at our AA BRC‑rated site.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to maximise plant availability and performance.
