Job summary

EDAG Engineering Limited is seeking a Lead Engineer – Exterior Lighting & Mirrors to own cross-functional delivery for lighting and mirror systems across vehicle programmes. You will manage DFMEA, BOMs and ECR/ECN changes, ensuring 100% validation sign‑off and alignment with quality, weight and cost targets.

You will lead supplier reviews, guide DFMEA activities, and coordinate across Design, Vehicle, Styling and Manufacturing teams, while maintaining project documentation and milestones in a

Qualifications

• 8+ years in automotive engineering, exterior lighting and/or mirror systems.
• Strong knowledge of lighting tech: LED, Matrix LED, adaptive lighting.
• Experience with camera-monitor systems and ADAS integration.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX and PLM tools (Teamcenter preferred).
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and supplier reviews.
• Good understanding of automotive product development and vehicle integration.

Responsibilities

• Own domain delivery for exterior lighting & mirrors across vehicle programmes.
• Provide DFM guidance and manufacturing feasibility support.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and engineering standards are met.
• Structure and manage system BOMs; control ECR/ECN changes.
• Plan and manage validation testing (virtual and physical) to 100% sign‑off.
• Deliver targets for quality, cost, timing and vehicle attributes.
• Maintain system-level documentation and milestones.
• Run DFMEA activities and coordinate cross-functional teams and risk mitigations.
• Interface between engineering and wider vehicle development org; manage deliverables per RFC.
• Plan projects, manage suppliers, drive programme delivery and budget control.
