Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to lead a busy Emergency Department team delivering high-quality emergency care to a diverse Wirral population.

The role requires a 1st level registered nurse with post-registration experience in A&E and a track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment, supported by a development nurse to progress national frameworks for emergency nursing.

Qualifications

• 1st level registered nurse ( essential for the role).
• Evidence of recent post-registration study in a speciality related to A&E e.g. ALS, ATLS, APLS.
• Minimum of three years post-registration experience, with two years at Primary Nurse or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team delivering emergency care to patients and their families in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate leadership in a busy unit and support professional development initiatives.
