Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to lead a busy Emergency Department team delivering high-quality emergency care to a diverse Wirral population.

The role requires a 1st level registered nurse with post-registration experience in A&E and a track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment, supported by a development nurse to progress national frameworks for emergency nursing.

Qualifications

• 1st level registered nurse ( essential for the role).
• Evidence of recent post-registration study in a speciality related to A&E e.g. ALS, ATLS, APLS.
• Minimum of three years post-registration experience, with two years at Primary Nurse or equivalent.

This is a rewarding but demanding role that requires a dedicated nurse to lead the team who deliver emergency care to patients and their families in a diverse population of the Wirral.

We are looking for a nurse who is looking to lead in an exciting dynamic busy Emergency Department .

We want a enthusiastic highly motivated nurse that can demonstrate a kind, caring and compassionate attitude with a desire to provide effective and efficient emergency care.

We also have a dedicated professional development nurse to guide, educate and support programme and work towards national frameworks for emergency nursing.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential

• 1st level registered nurse
• Evidence of recent post registration study in a speciality related to A&E e.g. ALS, ATLS, APLS
• Minimum of three years post-registration experience of which two years should be at Primary Nurse or equivalent

Desirable

• All practitioners with diploma level primary qualification must be working towards higher award in specialist practice (Degree)
