Job summary

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust seeks a Charge Nurse/Sister to work in our Emergency Department. You will support the Senior Clinical & Nursing team and help the ED meet national standards; crucially covering resuscitation duties and patient care.

The role requires initial assessment, advanced life support, and ongoing care in a busy ED setting. Applicants should have at least 2 years as a Band 5 nurse in Emergency Nursing and hold UK registration.

Qualifications

• Evidence of a good standard of written English appropriate to the role.
• UK professional registration (NMC) is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Band 5 nurse in Emergency Nursing or equivalent.
• Ability to work across the ED and Resuscitation areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial patient assessment in the resuscitation area.
• Deliver advanced life support and ongoing patient care.
