Job summary

Dyson is seeking an Associate Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead efficient embedded software for power electronics. Based in Malmesbury, you will drive multi-disciplinary projects from concept to prototype, shaping motor drives, battery management, and charging architectures.

You will coach the team, refine development processes, and collaborate with suppliers to align microcontroller roadmaps while delivering high-quality software for next-generation Dyson products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems and ARM MCUs.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python or similar tools for simulation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for power electronic systems including motor drives and battery management.
• Create efficient embedded software on microcontrollers and review it for resource constraints.
• Lead software research projects and collaborate with external partners.
• Design, simulate, build and test demonstration rigs and prototypes.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve software quality and processes.
• Plan activities with cross-functional teams and deliver technical results.
