Envisage Recruitment Limited is seeking a Technical Manager for Embedded & Power in Wokingham. The role is hands-on and leadership-focused, covering design-in support, product qualification, and test oversight. You will lead a small team across field applications, test and production, liaising with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in science, engineering or electronics.
• Broad background in electronics design, manufacture and test.
• Knowledge of CAD schematic capture and EMC/environmental testing.
• Familiarity with civilian and military safety and EMC standards.
• Experience leading people and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Design in franchised and third-party products to meet customer and company requirements.
• Resolve pre- and post-sales technical enquiries for sales teams on-site or remotely.
• Source and qualify third-party products against needs.
• Create build/test docs and technical specifications.
• Oversee prototype manufacturing and integration of franchised, third-party and custom products.
• Supervise EMC testing and manage in-house test facility.
• Generate wiring schedules, test specs and reports.
• Manage production workflow and maintain quality standards.
• Lead a small team covering field applications, test and production.
