The ideal candidate will balance people leadership with pragmatic process implementation, driving successful delivery while maintaining technical credibility across automotive and related sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading hardware/electronics teams in SME or fast-growth settings.
• Background in power electronics product development (inverters, motor controllers, DC-DC).
• Strong people leadership with remote/distributed teams a plus.
• Able to implement pragmatic processes for a growing organisation without over-structuring.
• Broad automotive/aerospace or related power electronics exposure is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a hardware/electronics team of 4–5 engineers and a technician.
• Own risk and issue management across hardware/electronics projects.
• Implement appropriate engineering processes for a fast-growing SME.
• Translate technical progress for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Guide delivery of power electronics projects across relevant sectors.
• Collaborate with leadership on project direction and resourcing.
