Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd near Kidderminster seeks an experienced Embedded Design Authority Team Leader to guide safety-critical defence programmes from concept through qualification and production. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, own DFMEA activities, and ensure compliance with BS8888 and regulatory standards, delivering technical specifications, safety cases, and design reviews.

The role is site-based with potential hybrid working after establishment, offering accredited

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Proven Design Authority experience in safety-critical environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering programmes.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA methodologies.
• Familiar with regulatory standards and governance.
• Experience in design reviews and validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams across full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Manage design evolution to meet customer requirements.
• Review and approve production drawings per BS8888.
• Lead DFMEA activities throughout development.
• Interface with customers, manufacturers and suppliers.
• Produce specifications, reports and safety cases.
