Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking an Embedded Design Authority Team Leader to steer safety-critical defence programmes from concept through to qualification and production. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, act as the technical authority, and engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure compliant, robust designs.

The role is site-based near Kidderminster with potential for hybrid work after team establishment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Design Authority in safety-critical environments.
• Proven ability to lead development programmes and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong DFMEA, regulatory, and governance knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams through full product lifecycle from concept to production and in-service support.
• Review and approve production drawings, ensuring BS8888 compliance and manufacturability.
• Direct DFMEA activities and approve production processes, tooling, and methods.
• Chair formal design reviews (PDR, DDR, CDR) and act as technical interface with customers.
