Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician with a strong Commercial Solar PV background to lead electrical installation teams on projects nationwide. This hands-on role requires guiding electricians, apprentices, and support engineers on site and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery.

The package includes a salary of £50,000–£55,000 with a company van, hotels paid, £45 overnight allowance, door-to-door travel, overtime, and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong Commercial Solar PV installation experience.
• Previous experience leading electrical teams.
• NVQ Level 3.
• AM2.
• ECS Gold Card.
• 18th Edition.
• 2391 or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Happy to travel and stay away nationwide.
• Solar PV and EV qualifications advantageous.

We are recruiting an experienced Lead Electrician with a strong Commercial Solar PV background to lead electrical installation teams across projects nationwide.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who has come through electrical installation and is comfortable leading electricians, apprentices and support engineers on site.
