Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a Lead Electrician to join our Direct Trades Team across Hampshire and the New Forest. You will lead domestic electrical works, supervise junior staff and help shape quality standards while progressing towards an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor role.

The role includes carrying out installations, EICRs, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring compliance on refurbishment projects. A strong background in domestic properties, 18th edition, and inspection/testing is essential,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical compliance requirements.
• Experience in domestic and occupied residential properties.
• Aim to develop into Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (EQS).
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in domestic properties.
• Complete EICRs, Minor Works Certificates, and electrical installation certificates accurately.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other electricians.
• Conduct quality checks on repairs and inspection/testing activities.
• Develop the skills to progress into EQS and sign off electrical certification.
• Support Building Control notifications for applicable works.
• Ensure kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works meet standards.
• Undertake post-inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Support operations with technical expertise while maintaining customer service.
