Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician with a strong Commercial Solar PV background to lead electrical installation teams on projects nationwide. This hands-on role requires mentoring electricians and coordinating with mechanical teams on site.

You will oversee containment, cabling, testing and commissioning, maintain high H&S standards, and travel nationwide with a staying away package including a company van. NVQ3, AM2, ECS Gold Card and 18th Edition are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Commercial Solar PV installation experience.
• Experience leading electrical teams.
• NVQ Level 3 and ECS Gold Card are preferred.
• 18th Edition and AM2 or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical installation teams on Commercial Solar PV projects.
• Oversee containment, cabling, termination, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with mechanical installation teams.
• Carry out quality checks and resolve installation issues.
• Manage daily workload and site resources.

Location: Site Based - UK Travel

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + Van + Staying Away Package

Position: Full Time

We are recruiting an experienced Lead Electrician with a strong Commercial Solar PV background to lead electrical installation teams across projects nationwide.

This is a hands-on role for someone who has come through electrical installation and is comfortable leading electricians, apprentices and support engineers on site.
