Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a Lead Electrician to head our trades team across social housing contracts in the Midlands. You will perform EICRs, manage certification sign-off, and ensure kitchen/bathroom installations meet high quality standards within occupied homes.

We offer weekly pay, a 39-hour week, bonuses, a company van, fuel card, and comprehensive benefits. DBS checks apply; equal opportunity employer; DBS disclosure required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation with AM2 and 2391/18th Edition required.
• Experience in domestic/occupied residential properties desirable.
• Full UK driving licence; flexible with on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties.
• Check and sign off electrical certification conducted by other electricians; notify building control of new installations.
• Ensure installations around kitchens & bathrooms meet quality standards and pass inspections.
• Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections.

We are looking for a conscientious, and fully qualified Electrical to lead our dedicated trades team covering our social housing contracts in the Midlands.

The Lead Electrician role:

• Complete on-going electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs within occupied residential properties
• As a Lead Electrician, you will also be responsible for checking and signing off electrical certification conducted by the other electricians as well as notifying building control of any new installation works.
• Ensuring installations of works surrounding kitchens & bathrooms are completed to a quality standard and post inspections are completed.
• Validation on electrical repairs, small works, and test & inspections

What will you bring as a Lead Electrician?

• Qualified to an NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation, and AM2 is essential.
• 2391 -Testing and Inspection is essential
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.
• Experience working within a domestic environment, and comfortable working within occupied residential properties.
• Flexibility and a can-do attitude, with the occasional requirement to be part of our on-call rota for emergency out of hours electrical work.
• Strong customer facing skills are essential, as you often be the face of the business from our customers perspective
• A full UK Driving License is essential for this role.
