Job summary

James Lewis Recruitment seeks an Electrical Project Manager for data centre refurbishment and upgrade works. You will oversee electrical delivery from pre-start to practical completion, coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure safety, quality and on-time handover.

Projects include LV distribution, switchgear, UPS interfaces and BMS integration. Two live project locations are Harrow and Angel, requiring strong leadership, detailed planning and hands-on

Qualifications

• Strong electrical project management experience in data centres or critical environments.
• Proven ability to manage live site upgrades, LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, containment and BMS interfaces.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and client-side teams.
• Knowledge of safety, QA, commissioning and handover processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical delivery from pre-start to completion and handover.
• Plan programme, procurement, labour, subcontractors, and technical coordination.
• Review drawings, specs, RAMS, and installation methods to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate works across data halls, plant areas, switchrooms, risers and containment.
• Produce progress reports, risk registers and project documentation.
• Manage change, cost movement and project margin with the commercial team.
