Veolia ES Plastics UK Limited in Dagenham seeks a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer to drive plant throughput through proactive maintenance and skilled fault-finding. You will supervise shifts, coordinate downtime and guide contractors to deliver safe, reliable operation.

The role requires Level 3 electrical qualifications, experience with CMMS and a strong background in process industry maintenance, energising conveyors and MCC panels. A proactive problem solver is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Proven ability to fault-find PLCs and electrical panels in a process environment.
• Experience with maintaining conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and separation technologies.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical maintenance operations to maximise facility throughput via routine maintenance, shutdowns and PPM scheduling.
• Provide hands-on electrical support including fault finding, PLC interrogation, and repair of controlled machinery.
• Maintain plant-wide electrical systems including conveyors, extruders, hydraulics, pumps, separation technology and MCC control panels.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise uptime and profitability.
• Oversee contractor management including inductions, safety compliance and review of risk assessments.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and complete all required paperwork and documentation.
• Inspect equipment and work areas for deficiencies and hazards and report issues for rapid investigation.
