Job summary

Equans is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for a site-based role in Westminster, London. The position is full-time, on-site, with a 4 on/4 off day shift pattern and a salary of £52,400 plus benefits.

You will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance, acting as Electrical Authorised Person on site, fault diagnosis, and coordinating with contractors and the wider engineering team. The role requires compliance with 18th edition and BS7671 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance in building services.
• Qualified to 18th Edition and experienced in inspection and testing (IB/VI).
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation engineering with AM1/AM2.
• Competent in completing Initial Verification and Periodic Testing as per BS7671 standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventive and reactive maintenance across single and three-phase electrical systems.
• Act as the main Electrical Authorised Person on site after training and assessment.
• Diagnose faults, source parts and complete electrical repairs, inspections and testing.
• Support shutdown planning, project works, and coordination with contractors and the wider engineering team.
