Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for Aberdeen-based projects on a contract basis up to six months. The role leads electrical scope delivery for offshore oil and gas, ensuring technical excellence, schedules, budgets, and compliance across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will act as the discipline focal point, mentor engineers, coordinate resources, and support tender activities with technical input and robust change control processes. Offshore certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore oil and gas projects.
• BOSIET/MIST offshore certification or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical engineering activities across project scopes, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with project requirements.
• Act as the discipline focal point, providing technical direction and oversight to the electrical engineering team.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, project management teams, engineering leadership, and other disciplines.
• Allocate, supervise, and review work across the discipline team to ensure high standards and timely delivery.
• Maintain project plans, progress updates, cost control activities, estimates, and schedules for electrical scopes.
• Ensure project changes are identified, documented, and managed through change control processes.
• Review and approve electrical deliverables and ensure document control and submission processes are followed.
• Support tender and proposal activities with technical input, estimates, and schedules.
