Job summary

Automation Experts Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead EICA design across complex client projects in Worcestershire. The role combines electrical design, instrumentation, control and automation with project delivery, mentoring the team and ensuring safe, compliant and maintainable solutions.

You will be responsible for developing control architectures, interpreting P&IDs and data, and guiding installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design within complex engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety requirements.
• Experience leading multi-project engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (EICA) designs.
• Produce and review electrical drawings, load schedules, schematics, SLDs and technical specs.
• Design electrical/control systems with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and drives.
• Manage EICA scope across multiple concurrent projects.
• Support FAT, panel testing, installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.
