Job summary

Automation Experts in Worcestershire is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation designs on high-value engineering projects. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, develop schematics, load schedules and technical specs while guiding multiple concurrent projects.

You will ensure safety, compliance and maintainability, support procurement and FAT/commissioning, and mentor less experienced engineers within a growing

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for complex engineered equipment.
• Proven PLC/SCADA and automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, P&IDs and cable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation designs.
• Produce load schedules, schematics, SLDs and specifications.
• Design control architectures with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and drives.
• Interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings and equipment data.
• Carry out electrical assessments incl. earthing, cable sizing and protection.
• Produce wiring diagrams and as-built information.
• Manage EICA scope across multiple projects.
• Review designs for safety, compliance and maintainability.
• Support installation, commissioning and FAT/SAT activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
