Job summary

Todd Hayes Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design across our yacht range. You will produce accurate 2D electrical schematics, panel drawings and cable schedules, interfacing with Production and Procurement to ensure design integrity.

The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, marine electrical knowledge, and leadership experience. A design-related degree and 18th Edition IET qualification are preferred; naval/marine experience is highly

Qualifications

Design-related degree or equivalent electrical design experience.
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
BMEA Marine Electrical Technician qualification (Desirable).

Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain electrical design standards across the range.
Produce, check, update and issue accurate 2D electrical schematic and panel drawings using AutoCAD.
Develop contract-specific 2D CAD electrical information for Production.
Produce accurate cable running schedules, considering manufacturing processes and installation requirements.
Establish clear and accurate scopes of supply using the project's Master Work List.
Lead the Electrical Design Change Request (DCR) process across the range.
Ensure electrical design information is delivered accurately and to agreed deadlines.
Maintain and manage resources within the Electrical Design team and work closely with Production, Electrical, Engineering and Joinery teams.
